*FEB 2025 UPDATE * Not sure if it's new ownership again but Sura has completely changed. In my opinion, I'm actually all for it lol Sura is now a self service AYCE. They have a few hot bars. A station where you can make your own sauces. A station where you can get your own sides. And yes, this is including getting your own meats besides a few where you have to order via QR CODE. Once seated, you're asked to scan the QR CODE that is on the table. From there, you can order on your phone. This is very convenient. You don't have to wait for your server. You can also ping them to come to you if you need assistance via the QR code. You now have two options . You can either do $30 or $40. The different is, their short ribs. For $10 more, you can get their shorts and beef brisket. I think that's kind of ridiculous because their short ribs aren't the best. My party step opted for the $40 but moving forward, we're actually ok with just the $30. $30 for AYCE KBBQ? You cannot go wrong with that. Overall, I don't mind this new system. I was a little skeptical but now I'm a believer lol will definitely continue coming back. And oh, COLD NOODLES IS INCLUDED. Not the best but it's still good for AYCE.
As one of the only Korean bbq places in the area, I am not too picky. However- this place never disappoints. I've been here 5-6 times now and I love it every time. They've recently changed to have a-la-carte to only having all you can eat. I was disappointed at first but it turned out quite well- no waiting for food, you get to pick whatever you want at every amount, $30 a person
Busy, but organized. Staff were always attentive to food needs, and the atmosphere always buzzing. Great Korean BBQ and All You Can Eat!
This has sort of become a go-to spot for AYCE KBBQ at a somewhat decent price compared to others in Boston. Now there's always new spots popping up, but service here in general is usually good for the most part. Walk thru the front and join the waitlist via tablet. Don't park in front of shop as it's a bus stop. Plenty of parking out back and meters to side streets. Parking across street available too. Looks like they recently re upholstered their seats and cushions on some of the booths that had rips / saggy cushion or damage. They can accommodate large parties as well and kid friendly. We've tried many of the meats and different tier packages. We normally go for the 2nd tier about $43 per person if i remember correctly. Yelp check-in free drink (non-alcoholic) coupon is NOT really known by management or seemingly wanted to be honored. We each had one (party of 2) but after about 20 minutes waiting for a response and 2 servers later, they honored 1 redemption and charged for the other. NBD really but they mentioned they cancelled yelp so YMMV. The best beef for me is the short rib and/ LA short rib bone in usually. The LA style is typically in the past a large bone, rolled up meat. Now we got the little rib bones, not sure what changed but noticed one table did get the old style next to us. So i would probably next time there only get short ribs personally with some tofu soup and egg soup. I like the spicy pork bulgogi, the spicy pork belly is typically good too but takes along time to cook thru and fills you up quick. (These proteins cake up the grill top fast with the spicy marinade). Staff is quick though, there is usually somebody on grill swap duty. Verify your meats when you get them we did get a couple wrong cuts / style of protein we didn't order and had to ask someone to swap it out. All in all will be back again for another round on the next run thru the area.
Went here with a date on a Saturday afternoon, and it was not too packed. It was also easy to find 2-hour meter parking behind the restaurant. We tried the ayce premium for 42.99, and it was worth it. The staff was very friendly and was constantly checking in on us if we wanted to order more dishes. They were also quick to spot if our grill needs to be changed so we don't have burnt bbq. The side dishes were very good and had free refill, especially liking the Kim chi and the lettuce. The beef tongue and the pork belly were a bit still frozen, but overall, it tasted ok for an ayce. The garlic soy sauce they provided was very delicious. My favorites were the king oyster mushroom, the la kalbi (perfectly marinated), egg bowl, and the shrimp (not the freshest but sweet none the less. Overall, decent food and great customer service for the price.
Delicious AYCE BBQ! I personally always opt for the premium option because I love beef tongue. My favorites are the beef short rib, beef tongue, black pork belly. They don't skimp on their meat portions. You must order their soft tofu stew! It's warm and helps wash everything down if you feel a little heavy from the meat. Bonus points for them because their rice is soft. Dry rice can really make or break a meal for me. Service is always really good! They're always coming around to take your order, refill drinks, etc.
This was my first time having AYCE KBBQ in MA. I believe this is also one of the only KBBQ spots in the state. We go the premium AYCE and love the marinated thin beef as well as the LA Beef short rib! I loved the tofu stew soup and added the steamed egg to my soup; super yummy! For sauces, they offer the bean curd sauce and soy sauce. I asked for a dish of salt so I could dip my meats in the salt. We came here around 9:30pm on a Friday and there were many tables available. The kitchen closes thirty minutes before closing, so it was plenty of time to order two rounds of meats and eat. The banchan sides were all right. I typically eat most of the sides at KBBQ places but only ate the kimchi because I threw it into my tofu soup For the price of AYCE, you cannot go wrong with this place. It is good for AYCE, but in terms of A La Carte, it lacks a little, but that is usually how it goes for AYCE anyways. I would come here again and recommend this to anyone looking to try AYCE KBBQ!
Above average Korean BBQ spot. We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday and did not have an issue getting a table. The place was pretty busy. The restaurant is a little beat up, out dated and just plain old. No worries, I came to eat Korean BBQ. Service was great.... There are two tiers, Regular and Premium. I went with the Premium, which I believe was $42.95 per person. I ordered half plates, which were still large. I powered thru chicken bulgogi and marinated thin beef (beef bulgogi), beef tongue, pork belly, prime brisket, black pork belly, LA beef short rib, king oyster mushroom - and a few others. I wanted to try them all, but unfortunately, I lost track. The spicy pork belly, chicken bulgogi and beef bulgogi was my fav as there is seasoning and/or marinating sauce. The LA beef short rid was not good, bummer. First time that I have ever had bad short ribs.... Overall, the place is above average. Maybe a 5.5-6ish or so.
